Pod People, Revisited

After an uneventful night in the kids' rooms, we decided that we needed to deal with the Pod People once and for all. The only way we know to destroy Pod People is to paint them.

Milena and Kelson are being very careful. This is no laughing matter.

Eli is posing, showing how serious he is about thwarting the Pod People.

Koleman is going to be very careful in his attempt. He is drawing his picture on the Pod Person before painting it.

The finished results! The Pod People can't possibly recover from this.

Koleman's Pod Person has a painting of an eagle flying over a mountain.

Koleman is now painting a picture. The Pod People aren't a concern any more. ... Or are they?

Some Pictures

Kelson is attempting to follow in his big brother's footsteps and be a big help around the house. On a related note, when Michelle went to work yesterday she called down the stairs to Kelson to say good-bye. He came to the bottom of the stairs and said good-bye to her. Then she said, "I love you, Kelson!" He responded, "I love the Wiggles!" It's always good to know where you stand.

Kelson is done cleaning, and is watching Eli attempt to play a video game.

Ah, that joystick brings back memories.

Milena hams for the camera.

St. Patrick's Day Festivities

For some reason, every year on the night before St. Patrick's Day leprechauns come to our house and make mischief. They were at it again this year. The first thing the kids saw was that green water was put in the bathtub.

Continuing on, they see that the little buggers turned our milk green!

The also nailed Rice Krispies to the wall...

... and turned over tables.

A trail of shamrocks led the kids to the basement bathroom, where apparently the leprechauns escaped through the toilet.

Now this is an appetizing breakfast.

Kelson finally has a stuffed zebra. The world can relax.

Koleman Loses a Tooth

Koleman lost a tooth last week, but it was a traumatic experience. While washing the tooth, he dropped it and it went down the drain. He was devastated. We told him the tooth fairy would understand, so he wrote her a note explaining the situation and apologizing. Amazingly, the tooth fairy gave him a note back and a dollar. What luck!

Random Pictures of the Day

We found these hanging in our bathroom on Sunday morning. Michelle thought they might be "Pod People". To be safe, I put them in the kids' rooms.

Kelson puts the finishing touches on the TinkerToy ferris wheel he built. He's incredibly gifted for a two year old.

Playing outside on a wonderful day

It was a beautiful day Sunday with temps in the 60's. We walked to the playground so we could spend some time outside. Milena and Kelson still don't understand the concept of a slide.

Milena is either stuck or carefully examining the tips of her boots.

I can honestly say that they didn't have playground equipment like this when I was a kid.

Elias the Brave conquers the playground!

Eli is delicately explaining to Kelson proper slide etiquette.

"Eww! This snow is wet and cold!"

The grass is always browner on the other side of the giant mud puddle.
