Requiem For a Tree

Are trees supposed to bend like this?

Milena Plays T-Ball!

Some pictures of Milena playing T-Ball. Here you can see her dash to first base after she crushed the ball.

Oops, the ball is still in the picture, maybe she didn't hit it as hard as I thought.

She heads for home as the ball, for some unexplained reason, simply hovers in mid-air.

Milena the first baseman, in her ready position.

Make the play! Make the play!

Give a Dog some Love!

OK, this is Stevie's post. Sorry Bella, but you didn't make the cut.

Anyway, here is something our dogs like to do - hoard bones and duck rags (a duck rag is what is left when poodles rip out the guts of a stuffed duck and tear what's left apart). Sometimes they'll have two bones and a duck rag, just to make sure the other one can't have some enjoyment in life.

At the family reunion, I wanted to get some excercise for the poodles, but I didn't have any fetch toys along. We had to make due with this tiny stick.

You could probably injure yourself with a stick like this if you aren't careful. That's why I was very careful.

Bella wouldn't fetch it, otherwise I might have taken a picture of her, too.

Kids That Aren't Mine

Not my kid.

Not my kid.

Not my kid.

Not my kids.

See, not all the kids in the world are mine.

Don't Do This

Don't ever take pictures while driving. It's dangerous.

See how scared I am? It's just not a safe thing to do.

Can you see the terror in Koleman's face?

Eli can't even keep still.

Really, you shouldn't be as dangerous as I am. You could get hurt. And I wouldn't want that.

Milena had a Wacky Bear Party

Milena had a birthday party a couple of weeks ago. It was actually her first friend party. She chose to go to the Wacky Bear Factory. They played some games with the kids, did a puzzle race, and then the kids got to pick out a bear and stuff it.

After the stuffing was the cleaning. Milena works hard to get her bear looking good.

Milena and her best friend Julia picked the same bear.

Time to open presents. Friends look on in excitement!

Julia gave Milena lots of help opening presents. Here they share a little moment.

Family Reunion Friend

While at our family reunion, we found a friend. Eli is very excited to meet the friend.

Greta wouldn't kiss it to find out if it was a prince.

But she did do a nice job of making friends.

If it wasn't going to turn into a prince, at the very least it could be a crown for King Kelson.

Fourth of July Fireworks

I remember it like it was yesterday...

Fancy sparklers require concentration.

Small sparklers require dancing.

Big sparkling tubes require fear.

Ooooh! Aaaah! WOW!

T-Ball Kids

Eli, Milena and Kelson are playing T-Ball. Kelson and Eli are on the same team. Here are happy T-Ballers.

This is the action shot they wanted - all of them pretending to throw the ball.

Jump!

And there's some videos, too. Amazing, isn't it? First off is Milena getting a big hit.

Next is Eli getting a base hit.

Kelson shows his mad first base skillz.

And Eli ends his game with a walk-off home run!

Oddly enough, every T-Ball game ends in a walk-off home run. Oh well.

Twas the day before the Fourth of July...

... and all of St. Peter was getting ready for candy!

It is really quite interesting in St. Peter. People started claiming spots on the parade route almost 48 hours before the parade was going to begin. I understand why, because it is a phenomenal parade, full of brilliance and wonderment.

Get those blankets out, quick!

This is where we spent the parade - in style. Nobody else was classy enough to bring a couch out to watch the parade on.

I might even post pictures of the parade itself. Or I can just link you to a previous year's parade, since they are all the same.

Just Eli

An Eli only post. The rest of the kids can just be jealous! Here is Eli with a Lego creation that he demanded I take a picture of.

Eli is all smiles at the end of the slip and slide.

Going back for more!
