Eli and Koleman Birthday Parties

We've had lots of birthday parties this month. Last week we had a little party for Eli at our house. The theme was The Incredibles. Eli is looking good with his mask on.

Time to blow out the four candles! (Maybe that's his super power?)

He's happy, and he hasn't even opened his presents yet!

Eli examines his haul. Finally, a lefty glove for our southpaw.

Then on Tuesday it was time for Koleman's little party. He is also happy, even though he hasn't opened his presents yet.

"WOW! Those are the most amazing presents ever!!"

Koleman got a bunch of scrapbooking supplies, so he can make his very own scrapbook all by himself (with a little bit of help from mommy). The other kids want a piece of the action.

Eli and Kelson try to show that they do love each other.

It was a busy week. Time to read some Harry Potter and go to bed.

It's probably just me...

But Eli was walking around with a hat on and I thought he looked like Short Round from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

This Picture is for Larry

But does he know why?

April Birthday Celebration!

We were at Grandma and Grandpa Lund's house celebrating three April birthdays - Eli, Koleman and Grandma Karen. Eli got a present just about as big as he is.

It's a great big fire truck!

The kids are playing Wack-a-Mole with Grandpa. Amazingly only the moles got wacked.

Koleman got some more Playmobil. He wasn't going to waste any time getting it set up.

Photographic evidence that the lemon cake had been tampered with. All the best forensic science was unable to identify the culprit.

The birthday boys and girl!

That's some wicked cool smoke, dude.

Playing Outside on an Obstacle Course

Somebody let the kids have Dilly Bars after supper, so we were forced to create an obstacle course for them to run through, hopefully using up all that extra energy. Eli attempts to spin around with a bat.

Eli and Milena run as fast as their little legs let them!

Koleman and Eli jump into the hoop at the same time. Check out those verticals!

Milena dribbles the basketball while Kelson looks on. (Kelson fell down and hurt his mouth. He spent the rest of the night holding a damp towel up to his face.)

Showing off their new sandals. Can you guess which feet are Milena's?

Outside Washing, and Outside Playing

Ah, nice weather. What a refreshing change. It was time to get outside and wash the vehicles. The big kids got to work.

Kelson is ready!

And he's off! ... cleaning the world one driveway at a time.

Yesterday we were at the playground. Eli is doing just fine on the monkey bars...

Uh-oh!!

Here's how it's done!

Milena gets ready to go down the slide.

Ah! Extreme Close Up!

Kelson still has some things to figure out.

Kelson and Milena ... Trouble, trouble, trouble

Yesterday evening I had to go in and check on Kelson and Milena a couple of times because they wouldn't stop talking. Eventually I came in to reprimand them and saw this:

Vintage Photograph of the Week

Here's a picture of Eli and Milena when they were still in Guatemala.

Wait, if it's a vintage photograph, it should probably look more like this:

Playing outside on Easter day

We had some nice weather on Easter, so the kids played outside. They're happy that the truck is out of hibernation. Things sure look bad for Eli here.

Koleman finds it hard to get traction for some reason.

Milena contemplates her next step. How long will it take her to escape to China?

Hi, I'm Eli. How are you?

A direct hit! (There wasn't much snow left, but what there was made for some good snowballs. Grandma Karen riddled Michelle's car with snowballs. That wasn't nice, was it?)

Kelson gets in on the action too. Of course, when he accidentally hit the gas and made the truck move it scared him.
