Kelson At Home

Koleman, Eli and Milena get to go to school, and Kelson is stuck at home with me. Sometimes he cuts out steam boats.

One day he even got to cook with Mommy.

When there's only one kid, it's not as big of a deal if he gets messy.

After being dragged around to everybody else's activities and school things, Kelson is finally reaping the rewards of being the youngest child.

More Festival Pics

Some leftover pictures of the trip to the Ren Fest. See, they were all dressed in orange so they could easily be spotted by a Mom or Grandmother.

Koleman got to go up on stage and participate in one of the kids' shows. I'm not sure why the midget next to Koleman is sick.

Apparently they are showing off. I'm guessing Koleman thinks he's a big kid to get such a big drink. Kelson likes his sword. I'm not exactly sure what Milena has.

Look for orange in the boat. I think it's Eli.

Of course, I wasn't there, so I am probably wrong on all of these things.

Because Scooter is Demanding

Here are pictures from "Ramona Quimby". Here I am holding Howie. He wasn't the lightest kid, so it wasn't as much fun as it seems.

Here's the cast picture.

Now leave me alone!

300!

Actually, this isn't a movie review, just a bit of nonsense celebrating my 300th post on this blog. Yes, it's a momentous day here at Klund's Photo Blog. Since my first post, just shy of three years ago, I've had over 15,000 page loads and 10,000 unique visitors ... which I guess means that most people are so disgusted by my blog that they never return.

Oh well.

But that's not what's important! I've had some brilliant posts, and some not so brilliant ones. But the one constant over the years has been non-stop gratuitous pictures of children.

Expect more of the same.

Fancy Faces

A couple of weekends ago Michelle and Grandma Karen took the kids to the Renaissance Festival. They had lots of fun, and good times, and all that. The three big kids also got their faces painted.

Eli:

Koleman:

Milena:

I like how they are all so serious about showing off their paintings.

First Day of Kindergarten!

Eli and Milena started Kindergarten on Thursday! They were super excited and have had two fun days. Three years of preschool has set them up well for school - they didn't have the anxiety and wide-eyed scary looks that some of the little kids had.

Here is Eli with his Schuletute (I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong - it's a German word). In Germany, kids get these cone things with presents in them. We're basically German, so we do it, too!

Milena has one, as well.

And look at these cheerful little squirts.

So far, so good. They aren't in the same class, but their rooms are two doors from each other. They find each other on the playground at recess, and are each making some new friends.

And poor Kelson is stuck with me.

Poodle Pictures

I know that you are all clamoring for some poodle pictures, so here ye be.

One interesting thing about poodles is that apparently they don't suffer from red-eye on pictures, but rather blue-eye. Picasa doesn't seem to have a blue-eye reduction tool, so you're going to have to deal with this bizarre devil poodle.

Oh, the goofy ear bows were a gift from the groomer. She felt that Bella and Stevie needed the bows since they are girl poodles. We kept them in long enough to take pictures of them, but then they had to go.

This picture is a few weeks old, and it's obvious to me that Stevie isn't this small any more.

Koleman loves sitting with the poodles. And he also loves having me take pictures of him with the poodles.

Bubbles - Big Ones!

The kids explore bubbles of the extra large kind. They are all lined up with their super special bubble making tools and bubble juice filled containers.

Not only did Grandma bring cookies from the state fair, but she also brought super duper bubble stuff. She is showing Milena the proper technique to use to achieve maximum bubblocity.

Koleman takes it seriously.

And Grandpa just relaxes and watches.

And finally, a video. It's not great, but then again, if you expected brilliance, you wouldn't be here.
