Setting Up the Christmas Tree

This weekend we set up our Christmas tree. All the kids made new ornaments this year, so those are the first to go up. Kelson puts on his.

Milena gets a low spot.

Eli puts his ornaments right next to each other, while protecting his Santa Bear at the same time.

Koleman helps to get the places that the other kids just can't reach.

The kids huddle around Michelle, waiting for their next turn to put on an ornament.

Here are all the Santa Bears, with their pets.

And now the pets make funny faces.

The tree is finished, and out of focus as well.

Kids! Exercise! Yay!

We've got the exercise equipment back up, and the kids are happy about that! Here is Milena on the ladder, swinging away.

Kelson, zipping around in the swing.

Eli, getting ready to spin on the rings.

It's time to switch!

Static electricity! Yay!

"Daddy, take a picture of me!"

Milena upside-down.

Eli upside-down.

Kelson as upside-down as he gets.

OK, let's see if I remember how to embed videos. Here is Kelson using the swing, but not swinging on the swing:

And here is Eli on rings and Milena on the ladder:

And finally, Eli doing something odd:

And here's a final picture of the kids exercising.

Projects!

Here are the preschoolers showing off art projects. Milena and Eli made scarecrows. They were given a block of wood and various supplies, and we were told to make scarecrows. Eli liked the straw, and wanted to just glue the straw to the wood, but that didn't stick very well, so I convinced him that the scarecrow could wear a belt. Eli definitely wanted his naked. Milena put clothes, hair, eyebrows, arms and legs (pipe cleaners) on hers. They are very goofy scarecrows. Kelson made a turkey. We're not going to eat his turkey.

Pictures!

Apparently, I have been delinquent. I have received numerous complaints about my lack of photo blogging. However, I am now reformed. I will revert back to my frequent blogging self. So, to honor all the requests, here are pictures of our kitchen.

Here is our new wood floor.

Here is our island.

Our countertop by the range.

New cabinets.

We're back to having a gas stove. Love it!

And we needed a new toaster oven, too. There, I hope you are all happy, now!

Halloween!

Here are three little animals, ready to go Trick or Treating. Michelle was very smart when she found these costumes a month ago. She knew that it was going to be a cold night and that a warm, furry costume would be best.

And now the animals are joined by a giant wizard. Hmmm... where have I seen that wizard before? Oh, I know, last year! Why mess with a good thing?
