Look for it at next year's State Fair!

Yes, it's "Squirrel on a Stick"!

Now, some people might ask me why I would have a picture of a dead squirrel nailed to the top of a four foot tree stump. That's a very good question.

And, because I value decency over everything, I will not answer that question.

Two Cute Couples

Grandpa Lindy and Grandma Lu, still lookin' good after all those years.

And, just slightly younger, Cousins Milena and Greta show off their reading skills.

(And if you want to know why there is a missing cushion, you'd have to ask Grandpa Gary)

I'm supposed to post more pictures

How about a Christmas picture? My kids, Greta and Cecile. Charlie chose to remain mysterious by his absence.

I'm a slacker

I know. I do. I've been a huge slacker lately. Please forgive me.

Look, I'm giving you a picture of Koleman dressed up as Mark Twain. Isn't that nice of me?

First Loaf

Michelle received a book for her birthday from my parents. It is called "Artisan Bread in Five minutes a Day" (Amazon.com link here). Michelle and I worked together to put the bread dough together, and then I made the first loaf while Michelle and Milena were having Girl Time at the hair place.

For the first loaf, and using the most basic recipe, the results were fantastic. It was incredibly easy. I even learned a valuable lesson: When it says to slash a 1/4 inch deep line for the tic-tac-toe pattern on the top, they mean 1/4 inch. I accidentally went down 3/4 inches on my first slice, and 1/2 on the next ones, which resulted in a bit of a tumor on top of the bread.

But it still tasted quite good.

Michelle is excited to explore the other options in this book.

Thanks Mom & Dad!
