This blog will be a repository for pictures. I'm sure it will become completely and utterly overloaded with pictures of children. I apologize in advance for that.
Well, the glorious year of 2005 is coming to a close, so I decided (and really, who's going to argue with me?) to put together a sampling of the year's best photos.
Best Gene Simmons Impression
April 26 (I will leave it to Larry to PhotoShop in the face paint.)
Kelson had a little birthday party this past weekend. The "baby" turned 3. In this picture he is trying to get three fingers up to show how old he is.
Yea! A helpful hand saves the day.
Kelson asked for a Thomas cake, and a Thomas cake is what he got. It's a nice thing to have a talented mommy.
Time to open the gifts. Look at all those happy children! (of course, they weren't watching the Vikings, which is why they were so happy)
A lemonade stand! Made by Mommy and Daddy (with help from Koleman). It's nice to have a talented Mommy and Daddy!
Here's another gift that Kelson got - a fire fighter outfit! For some reason he always puts fire helmets on backwards. Either he's ashamed of his Ladder Company, or he wishes he was wearing a fedora. Not sure which.
We had a lot of Christmas letters to send out this year, so we turned to our in-house staff to stuff, seal and send the letters.
Milena is getting tired. Apparently a 5 minute break every four hours isn't enough for her.
So, if you are on our Christmas list, and your letter is crumpled, or the label is on crooked, or you don't get a letter, you know why. I did rescue one envelope that Milena was about to seal that didn't even have a letter in it. Anyway, look for it in your mailbox soon!
Here we are all getting ready to go out and find a tree to chop down. We're all bundled up warm!
We found a good place out in the forest to look for the right sized tree. Koleman thinks he's going to use the axe!
Eli finds a tree that is just his size. Too small for our purposes, though!
Hey, this one is just right! Kelson gives it the seal of approval.
I chop down the tree and we drag it back to the van. I sure hope it fits!
Well, we did it! Once again we performed our family tradition of going out and chopping down a tree for our Christmas tree. Doesn't it look beautiful?
I just realized that this post had the middle two pictures expurgated. I have fixed that. You may now return to your regularly scheduled blog viewing.
Hey, I'm going to finish up the pictures of our Thanksgiving vacation, since it's almost Christmas. Here's a picture of what Kelson did most of the time we were at Jon & Steph's house. All he wanted to do was play with the Bob the Builder toys. He'd line them up, move them around, have them do work and sing the "Can we fix it?" song.
On our way home we stopped by Grandma Karen and Grandpa Gary's. Gary took the kids outside to play in the snow, which mostly consisted of him pelting them with snowballs. Here he gets in a good shot on Milena.
Eli's not even looking, and he's about to get pounded! Oh no!
Grandma Bonnie wanted to have the little monsters trim her Christmas tree. All told, it went pretty well. As the tallest grandkid, Koleman gets to help with the high stuff.
Let the games begin! Grab an ornament and shove it somewhere!
Eli concentrates on his placement.
Jorgen found a nice spot for his ornament - right next to the trunk of the tree.
This is either a very artistic photo, or I had my camera settings messed up.
