A Picture!

I know, I know, I haven't been posting many pictures lately. One problem is that my camera is not functioning properly. Most of my recent pictures are not turning out very well. Anyway, here is Milena in her new cowboy outfit, with her new cowboy bear, Cissy.

Koleman was in another Prairie Fire Theatre play, this time Pinocchio. Here is a cast photo.

Koleman was a hooligan. He got to run around stage screaming, and ended up being turned into a donkey. Not too different than home life.

Cousin Charlie's Birthday Party

We went up to Albertville a couple of weeks ago for Charlie's first birthday party. It was hot and dry, but thanks to a pool and a Slip and Slide, the kids had a blast. The pool was filled that day, so Milena shows us that going into the cold water makes a person cold. Brrrr!

The pool was small, but big enough for cannonballs.

That's Eli. You have to trust me.

We can't forget the man of the hour. Here Charlie gets a special Birthday Forehead Kiss from Koleman.

The Slip and Slide was fun, too. The kids are waiting nicely in line for their turn.

We took some video of the slip and slide, but there was a slight problem. If you hold the camera sideways to take the video, then the video is sideways on the computer. I don't want to make everybody tilt their monitors on the side, so I used a program to rotate the videos. Unfortunately YouTube only accepts videos in one shape, so the rotated videos were stretched to accomodate the proper rectangular dimensions.

And, finally, it's probably good to know that Jason has more KISS books on his shelf than Bibles (the silver book in between the two KISS books is a Gene Simmons book - it didn't come out very well in the picture). Although there is probably something meaningful about the Merck Medical Information book acting as a buffer.

Some Pictures

Just clearing up the backlog of pictures I have to post. Last month Koleman was in a play - Snow White. He really loved it. It was with a theatre company called Prairie Fire Theatre. They started with auditions on Monday, July 3, took the Fourth off, then rehearsed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. After all that practice they were ready for performances on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Koleman had a blast. Here he is with the other Townspeople.

And here is Milena with wrist guards. You can never be too safe playing in your front yard.

Koleman had saved up about seventy dollars, and really, really wanted an iPod. After doing a little research, I talked him into buying a SanDisk Sansa m230 for sixty bucks. He liked the fact that he wouldn't have to wait until he turned nine to have enough money to buy an MP3 player. Now he can listen to his favorite American Idol songs ("Jailhouse Rock" by Taylor Hicks) whenever he wants to.

Milena in Devils Lake

About a month ago Michelle and Milena went up to Devils Lake to see Michelle's Grandma Ruth. Michelle bought Milena a new jump rope, and she was playing with it outside.

She's probably not a Jump Rope Champion yet, but she's working on it.

And sometimes you just have to give up jumping rope and go kick a ball.
