Baker Parkaching

This past weekend we stayed at my parents' house. On Saturday we went to Baker Park to check out a bunch of caches they have there. Koleman gets confused at times, though. He thought this toad was a cache.

Kelson corrected him and told him to put the toad back on the ground. Kelson is a smart boy.

If you smack a milkweed pod with a stick, it snows.

Milena found her first ever cache. She was very proud.

After a mile or so of walking we took a break. Nothing better than big rocks to play on.

Grandpa Gary found his first cache too. Or so he thought. It was actually just a piece of plastic. But he was still proud.

Koleman found the real cache at that spot.

After a bit our group split. Milena, Michelle and I continued to cache, and the rest retreated to the comfort of home. The girls and I found a few more caches on our own, including a Cache Cabin.

The three of us ended up walking about 7 miles. That gets pretty tough for a little girl, so at one point she took my hat and hitched a lift.
