First Blog Post from my New Computer
It's my first blog post with my new computer. Whoopee. Here are Eli and Koleman playing some game they are making up, while Milena watches with interest.

Looks like your computer threw up. Poor sick thing.
That's what you call a good reason for getting a new one? You've even got the screws nicely collected in a bowl! A little laptop-entropy seems like a pretty weak excuse.
A couple dozen screws later and it's as good as new! Cheri's looked just like that last week and she's still using it... although the problem is still there are requires a second disassembly... and some soldering... and then a re-format... and maybe a new hard drive...
Well, the motherboard was dead, so it wasn't going to work without serious fixing. But here's the good news - I took apart the dead laptop and, 9 eBay auctions later, I made over $400. And that didn't even include the hard drive, because I salvaged that, bought an enclosure, and now have an external backup drive. All in all, it could have been much worse.

I've purchased replacement parts through eBay but never considered selling them... what if I need that VL-bus video card myself someday!
