The Dole Plantation. Which makes Hawaii a Pineapple Republic, I guess. From this angle it's hard to see if the Dole flag or the Hawaii flag is higher. They're probably equal height.
Extremely common site in Hawaii: Japanese tourists. It was almost as if the Japanese invaded Hawaii.
A baby pineapple. In 8 more months, you'll be big enough to eat!
The plantation has the world's largest maze. So we had to go in, right?
Eek! A huge snail! The maze is too scary!
Michelle kept me safe, though, and we found all the hidden boxes.
After escaping the maze (32 minutes!) we took a ride on the Pineapple Express. No, really, we did.
Is this touristy enough for you?
How about this?
On the whole, the Dole Plantation was actually a good place to visit. Clearly a tourist trap, but still interesting.

Nice! I still think you should have found the geocache. I saw the photo with the red path. Did you find other caches while you were there? Did you worry about spiders and other vicious critters?
I only claimed two caches - the one by the red path and a virtual cache. I don't even think there are dangerous critters on Hawaii (other than mosquitoes).
Not so many poisonous ones, but you could reach into a cache area and find one of these: http://gbjorn.wordpress.com/2008/04/23/big-centipedes-in-hawaii/
And we saw 3-inch long slugs. They were cute.
