Scooter bought a Wii to be like the Klund's, and we went geocaching, to be like the Scooter's. For Koleman's 10th birthday, he received a brand new GPS!
We had the birthday party (also for 7 year old Eli and ... um, 29 year old Grandma Karen) in Plymouth, so I had the GPS pre-loaded with a couple of caches within short walking distance from the house.
Cache number one was just off the Luce Line trail, found by Michelle once we realized where to look. The second cache we looked for was a nice little multi-cache. Koleman found the final resting spot of the cache, and left info in the log.
We started out our caching adventure with eleven people, and were down to five by the time we made our last find. Michelle has strategically hid herself from the camera's view. You can see a bit of her head.
Koleman replaces the final cache.
It should probably be noted that Michelle found the first three locations (the first cache, and parts one and two of the multi-cache) with virtually no effort. It got to the point that she would watch Koleman, my dad and myself struggle in the brush, and then casually walk out and say, "Here it is."
She has a gift.

It was an absolutely beautiful day for a walk by the lake and out in the woods. Thanks for letting us all tag along, Koleman. And congrats to Eagle Eye Michelle. When purchasing a GPS for Geocaching, it is important to also download Michelle 5.0.
Nice. Trophy Grandma assumes to get to where she's at Michelle had to undergo 5 major revisions?
Congrats on your first GPS experience. Now you have a way to keep your kids busy and outside anywhere in the world.
Of course Michelle has undergone revisions. Do you think she would have spotted those caches as a 1-yr-old???
